Kuala Lumpur Trip Plan — 5-Day Itinerary

Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala LumpurMalaysia

🗓️ Best season: Tropical all year — drier in February and June to August

🛂 Visa from Pakistan: eVISA BEFORE travel, only from the official malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my — confirmed return flight + hotel proof; official processing is 48 hours (apply 2 weeks ahead). Print the eVISA, and complete the free MDAC form within 3 days before arrival.

🌍 From other countries: Many nationalities visit Malaysia visa-free — and almost all foreign visitors must complete the MDAC form before arrival. Check the official portal for your passport.

Twin Towers, Batu Caves and famous food streets — plus Genting Highlands, Putrajaya and Melaka as easy day trips.

🌡️ Live weather: loading…

Route: Direct flights to Kuala Lumpur (KUL): Karachi — AirAsia X and Batik Air (about 6h15); Lahore — Batik Air (about 5h50); Islamabad — PIA (about 5h40).

  • Day 1: Petronas Towers + KLCC Park; the evening on Jalan Alor food street
  • Day 2: Batu Caves early in the morning, then Merdeka Square and KL Tower at sunset
  • Day 3: Genting Highlands day trip — cable car, theme parks and outlets
  • Day 4: Putrajaya (the Pink Mosque and the lake) — or a full day in Melaka
  • Day 5: Sunway Lagoon, or the Bird Park + last shopping in Bukit Bintang

What to carry & what you need:

  • Printed eVISA (A4) + MDAC confirmation
  • Proof of funds (cash or cards) and your return ticket — these are checked at entry
  • Ringgit for hawker stalls and markets; cards are fine in malls
  • A compact umbrella — short, heavy showers are a daily habit
  • A Type G (British 3-pin) plug adapter — Pakistani C/D plugs do not fit Malaysian sockets
  • Modest clothing, and a headscarf (women), for mosque visits

Note: The eVISA allows a stay of up to 30 days per visit and cannot be extended — plan your dates around it.
