Doha Trip Plan — 5-Day Itinerary

Doha skyline and Msheireb, QatarQatar

🗓️ Best season: November to early April — sunny winter days, about 18–25°C

🛂 Visa from Pakistan: Free visa ON ARRIVAL (up to 30 days) is currently listed on Qatar's official MOI page — passport valid 3+ months, a return ticket, accredited health insurance, and a hotel booked ONLY through Discover Qatar (bookings from other sites are not accepted for this route). These rules changed twice in 2026 — re-check MOI / Visit Qatar a few days before you fly. Advance alternative: the Hayya tourist visa (QAR 100).

🌍 From other countries: Many nationalities enter Qatar visa-free or on arrival; others apply on the Hayya platform — check Visit Qatar for your passport.

Souq Waqif, world-class museums and the Inland Sea — a short, easy first trip abroad from Pakistan.

🌡️ Live weather: loading…

Route: Qatar Airways and PIA fly direct to Doha (DOH) from Karachi (about 3 hours), Islamabad (about 3.5 hours) and Lahore (about 4 hours).

  • Day 1: Arrive; the evening in Souq Waqif and a Corniche walk by the dhow harbour
  • Day 2: Museum of Islamic Art + MIA Park; Msheireb Downtown
  • Day 3: National Museum of Qatar; Katara Cultural Village
  • Day 4: Inland Sea (Khor Al Adaid) desert safari day trip; The Pearl in the evening
  • Day 5: West Bay and Lusail Boulevard; the Falcon Souq and last shopping in Souq Waqif

What to carry & what you need:

  • Your Discover Qatar hotel voucher (for the on-arrival route) or your Hayya approval print
  • Accredited health insurance papers
  • A polio vaccination certificate — a wise precaution when flying from Pakistan
  • Qatari riyals for souqs and taxis — cards work almost everywhere else
  • An Ooredoo or Vodafone Qatar tourist SIM from the airport
  • Light clothes plus a light jacket for November–March evenings; modest dress for souqs and museums
  • The Doha Metro covers most sights — pick up a travel card at any station

Note: Hotel warning: for the visa-on-arrival route, only a Discover Qatar reservation counts. If you book your hotel anywhere else, enter on a Hayya visa instead.
