Bangkok Trip Plan — 5-Day Itinerary

Wat Arun temple on the Chao Phraya river, BangkokThailand

🗓️ Best season: November to February — cooler and dry

🛂 Visa from Pakistan: e-Visa BEFORE you travel, at thaievisa.go.th — flight booking, hotel proof and bank statements showing at least 20,000 THB. Also fill the free TDAC arrival form online within 3 days before arrival. No visa on arrival.

🌍 From other countries: Citizens of 60 countries enter visa-free for 30 days — but almost every foreign visitor must still complete the free TDAC form before arrival.

Grand temples, river life, street food and mega-malls — with Ayutthaya and Pattaya in day-trip reach.

🌡️ Live weather: loading…

Route: Thai Airways flies direct to Bangkok (BKK) from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad (about 4.5 hours). Other airlines connect via Kuala Lumpur or the Gulf.

  • Day 1: Grand Palace + Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho, then the ferry across to Wat Arun
  • Day 2: Chatuchak Weekend Market (Sat–Sun) — or a floating-market day trip
  • Day 3: Ayutthaya day trip: the old capital's temple ruins
  • Day 4: MBK and ICONSIAM shopping + a Chao Phraya dinner cruise
  • Day 5: Pattaya day trip — or Safari World for families

What to carry & what you need:

  • Baht in cash — street food, markets, tuk-tuks and temple fees are cash-first
  • Printed e-Visa approval + TDAC confirmation
  • Temple dress: shoulders and knees covered, and easy-off shoes
  • Beware the classic scam — “the palace is closed today” followed by a gem shop; use the official entrance (Tourist Police: 1155)
  • Light, breathable clothes — Bangkok is hot all year

Note: The Grand Palace is the strictest on dress — cover up, or rent a cover at the gate. Go at opening time to beat the heat and the crowds.
